William A. Strauss is a Senior Economist and Economic Advisor in the Economic Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, which he joined in 1982. His chief responsibilities include analyzing the current performance of both the Midwest economy and the manufacturing sector for use in monetary policy. He organizes the Bank's Economic Outlook Symposium and Automotive Outlook Symposium. In addition, he conducts industrial and manufacturing roundtables throughout the year.
Mr. Strauss earned a B.A. in economics and geography from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and an M.A. in economics from Northwestern University. Mr. Strauss is a Certified Business Economist™ (CBE), the certification in business economics and data analytics developed by the National Association for Business Economics. It documents a professional’s accomplishment, experience, abilities, and demonstrates mastery of the body of knowledge critical for a successful career in the field of economics and data analytics. He has taught as an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University Chicago and Webster University in Chicago. He currently teaches at DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, and at the University of Chicago Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies. At the latter institution, he was named winner of the 2010 Excellence in Teaching Award in the Business and Professional Programs. He was recognized by the University at Buffalo as a Distinguished Alumni in 2012. His research papers include analysis of the manufacturing sector, the automotive sector, the Midwest regional economy, the trade-weighted dollar, business cycles, and Federal Reserve payments operations. Mr. Strauss has been interviewed on numerous television and radio shows and quoted in the major business magazines and newspapers. He has also provided testimony concerning manufacturing issues to the U.S. Senate. He is a past president of the Chicago Association of Business Economists; a past board member for the National Association for Business Economics; a member of the National Business Economics Issues Council; a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the University at Buffalo; a member of the Advisory Board for the Center of Excellence on Human Capital, Technology Transfer, & Economic Growth and Development, a member of the Advisory Council for the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Center for Economic Education; a member of the Economic Advisory Committee for the Council on Competitiveness; an advisory council member of the Global Interdependence Center; and a member of the Council of Great Lakes Governors Maritime Advisory Committee. |

Donald J. Rissmiller is a Partner and the Firm's Chief Economist directing its macroeconomic research effort and oversees Strategas’ high-frequency econometric forecasting. Prior to co-founding Strategas, he was an Economist and Managing Director at International Strategy & Investment (ISI) Group. Before joining ISI, Mr. Rissmiller worked as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he focused on the analysis of U.S. macroeconomic data and price/wage forecasting models. Anne Hydrick Kaiser serves as vice president of Community and Economic Development for Georgia Power, leading the company’s efforts to recruit new companies to Georgia and helping existing industries grow. The Department has been internationally recognized as one of the top economic development organizations in the world, bringing 126,000 jobs and $26.5 billion in capital investment to Georgia over the past decade alone. Kaiser is also responsible for the company’s initiatives to improve the marketability of communities throughout the state, which includes support for public education and workforce development.
Kaiser joined Georgia Power in 1998 in the Retail Sales organization. She held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president of Corporate Services, assistant to the president and CEO, and vice president of Sales. Prior to her current role, Kaiser served as vice president of Georgia Power’s Northwest Region, with responsibility for 15 counties and more than 170,000 customers. Before joining Georgia Power, Kaiser held senior marketing management positions at KPMG, the Westminster Schools of Atlanta and Alston & Bird, an international law firm headquartered in Atlanta. Kaiser graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Georgia. Also, she is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School and the National Association of Corporate Directors’ College. She is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta and the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership. Kaiser currently serves on the board of directors of State Bank and Berry College. She chairs the REACH Foundation, co-chairs the Alliance Theatre and the Competitiveness Initiative of the Atlanta Regional Commission and serves on the Georgia Cities Foundation. She also serves on the advisory board of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Kaiser was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to the Technical College System of Georgia and serves as their vice chair, along with serving on Lady Deal’s Georgia Children’s Cabinet. |
