She will discuss the impact of fiscal resources and demand on the development and production of defense products, as well as its impact on defense firms. Dr. Hensel will also highlight the role of the defense sector in the US and in the global economy. |

This growth, the result of the relatively new phenomenon of longevity may arguably be the greatest disruptor of the 21st century. This session will review the local economic implications of longevity and discuss the policies and practices that communities can adopt to maximize the opportunities and manage the challenges this tremendous change will bring. |
